Compassionate Full-Family Dental Care
Dr. Hana Darrach-Cottick is a general dentist caring for the dental well-being of families in the Victoria, BC community at InHarmony Dental Care.
Biography
Dr. Hana was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She moved to Victoria and completed her BSC in Biology at University of Victoria. She then studied at the University of British Columbia and graduated with her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
A personal note from Dr. Hana
I recognize that there are many factors that can prevent people from accessing the dental care that they need. To decrease those barriers to good oral health, I strive to incorporate unique solutions to make dental care as comfortable as possible. I am to create an inclusive, non-judgemental, and trauma-informed environment for dental care.
It is a great privilege to provide care to my community. I see my role as a dentist, to help empower patients to deepen their own understanding of their oral health and make informed decisions that are in alignment with their goals. I am always happy to answer questions, show photos, and connect patients with resources that can help them along their journey. I believe that knowledge can be truly empowering and it is my aim to empower patients in any way that I can.
A little about me:
I was inspired to be a dentist, after teaching in the Anatomy and Osteology laboratories at UVic. During my undergraduate studies, I worked part-time in all aspects of dentistry from the front desk to assisting and sterilization. I shadowed my dad, Dr. Alex, which deepened my understanding of this profession and allowed me to see what an incredible privilege and honour it is to be an oral healthcare provider.
I have been proud to call Victoria home for over ten years. When I am not in the clinic providing care to my patients you can find me thrifting, sewing, and spending time with my partner and our tortoiseshell cat, Minnow.
